Hiring Thunder Junior Coaches!
Greetings Waters Landing Thunder Families!
We are now seeking applicants for Junior Coaches. Coaches must be at least 15 years old. We anticipate that the hours will be like those of the 2022 season. The application is attached to this email. The application deadline is by close of business on Wednesday, March 8.
As mentioned, our Pre-Team program returns this year for emerging swimmers. Participants must be able to “swim” across half the pool. This does not have to be a legal stroke or kick; they just have to swim unassisted and without touching the bottom. We will work with the Homeowners Association to find a provider for group lessons for kids who are not quite ready for pre-team.
Our coaches will also offer private lessons for anyone wanting additional instruction. More information will be provided later.
This season we are also planning our normal Wednesday night B meets, traveling to, and hosting our Seneca League teams.
Please contact us via email if you have any questions or are interested in getting more involved with the team in the 2023 swim season. There are always volunteer opportunities including jobs that involve more time prior to the season. Mark your calendars now - swim practice begins Tuesday, May 30 at Pool B. We look forward to seeing you at the pool!
